We perform 30 - 40 ceilidhs a year at weddings, birthdays and functions large and small. We frequently mix concert pieces with our ceilidh repertoire to give the dancers a rest. That's because we've deliberately set out to provide both concert and ceilidh music in traditional English and Celtic styles. Concerts and ceilidhs are different styles, but we can perform both, because we've made that our specialty. Our musicians are also dancers - we understand what dancers need, because we dance ourselves. We have our own caller, Melanie Eltome, who deftly handles dancers ranging from the spatially challenged to the seriously experienced. The band works closely with Melanie to make sure dance and tune make a perfect match every time.
So, if you book us for your festival, we can give you concerts and ceilidhs and even concert/ceilidhs, and we're equally at home leading a session as well - mixed, Celtic, or English. We don't mind being a sweated asset!
