JELLO 1

Spinning Jelly's first album was recorded in August 1992 in a small village hall in Threshfield, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The album was produced and recorded as live on DAT by Steve Payne and John Moreau of Ache and Pain Productions.

The Line up was . . .

Not wishing to leave out the band's own ceilidh caller they also gave her a credit for choreography.

Tracks were:

The Burning of Auchindoon/The Skyeman's Jig/The Connaught Man's Rambles/The Full Rigged Ship/The Rakes of Kildare.

Auld Swaara/Floating From Skerry.

The Battle of Auchrim/St.Ruth's Bush.

Bogie's Bonnie Belle.

The Bear Dance

Joan's Jig

Oot Be Est da Vong

Arthur McBride

Neil Gowe's Lament for his Second Wife

The album was produced on cassette only, printed and packed with the band's own sensitive fingers. It is not currently in production and thus probably qualifies as a collector's item. A Mere Trifle, while technically limited, and bearing the usual disadvantages of a live recording, expresses well the band's feel for the mystery of Celtic music and demonstrates their ability to work as a coherent unit.
